What is the Keto Diet?
The Keto diet is essentially a diet high in fatty foods.
Short for “Ketogenic”, the diet forces you to reduce the amount of carbs you consume.

3. Don’t neglect the basics
Just because this Keto Diet has so many wonderful weight loss benefits, it doesn’t mean you should neglect other factors that could hinder your progress.
This would include:
– Not getting enough sleep
– Not drinking enough water
– Overeating
– Not exercising
– Not tracking your macro nutrients
4. Start slow

Consider slowly easing into the diet first by reducing the amount of carbs you take in prior to starting the diet.
5. Prepare for the flu

Because you are reducing the amount of carbs you eat, the body needs some time to adapt to the drop in insulin levels.
Symptoms could include dehydration, nausea, fatigue and headaches.
Combat all of this by:
– making sure you drink enough water and consume higher than usual amounts of salt. These are the main things lost when starting the diet.
– Not going too crazy with exercise in the first week or so
– Eating the right percentage of fats and slowly easing into it
